Mount Adapters
Plate adapters are available which enable cross-compatibility between several mountheads and other popular piers and tripods. Optical Supports is currently researching and developing more adapters that will expand the list of mountheads and piers/tripods that can be made compatible with each other. If you are interested in adapting a specific mount/support combination that is not currently covered by the adapters listed below please contact me directly and I will attempt to fill the gap.
EQHD - for Losmandy HD tripods & generic fixed piers:

The EQHD adapter provides a rock-solid union between several popular german equatorial mounts and one of the strongest tripods in the business. I provides compatibility between the Losmandy HD tripod and several families of mounts (listed above). By definition it also mates with the 12" Losmandy pier extension. A thrust bearing beneath the adapter plate allows the mounthead to be tightly secured while preserving smooth operation of the azimuth adjustment bolts.
